How long does the class run?
All Broadway Seniors attend a 2 hour class per week in term time.
What happens in class?
Acting games and exercises to build confidence and performance skills along with singing training and tuition in musical theatre movement. Classes are adapted to suit the abilities and preferences of the group. Limited movement? No problem. Love to act but have never sung? Welcome!
What’s in the REHEARSAL PACK?
At the beginning of each rehearsal semester, a rehearsal pack will be given to each performer. This pack includes a and official script to keep, rehearsal music, a Broadway Academy carry bag and access to the class rehearsal app where we upload videos and audio tracks from class.
What should I wear?
Wear what makes you feel comfortable. For performances we wear ‘theatre blacks’ and add costume elements.
What role will they play in the productions?
Everyone in Broadway Senior is given individual attention and opportunities. Casting will take place in the first month of rehearsals and you can choose to enjoy performing in the ensemble or try out for a names role in the show.
Do I need to make or provide costumes?
Costumes for Broadway Senior are a combination of supplied items and pieces sources from home.
What are the fees?
2 x term fees of $150. One paid at the first class and the other at the beginning of the next term.
