How long does the class run?
Act 2 students in school grades 4, 5 & 6 attend a 90 minute class per week in term time. If you choose to take both musical theatre and acting, your child will attend 2 x 90 min classes per week.
What happens in class?
Your child will enjoy drama games and exercises to build their confidence and performance skills along with singing training and tuition in musical theatre dance in musical theatre. They will finish each class relishing in applause after their solo bow!
What’s in the REHEARSAL PACK?
At the beginning of each semester, a rehearsal pack will be given to each student. This pack includes a licensed script and rehearsal audio tracks for the current show.
What should he/she wear?
Everyone feels like a professional in our fabulous uniform.
What role will they play in the productions?
Act 2 students perform in their very own musicals and plays and those who choose to will have the opportunity to experience featured roles. It’s learning on many different levels both on and off the stage. Experience what it’s like to take on solo parts while also feeling the rush of performing a rousing ensemble number onstage!
Do I need to make or provide costumes?
Broadway Academy costumes are always impressive and add a really professional edge to our shows. The good news is we provide the costumes on loan to our students! You may be asked to provide some minor element like socks or a plain t-shirt but you can leave the rest up to us. A costume hire levy is built into your fees.
